The McIndoe Surgical Centre offers Corneal Transplant procedures.
A corneal transplant, (known as a corneal graft), involves the removal of the central portion of the infected cornea and replacing it with a donor conor (usually called a button).
Corneal grafts are typically performed on patients who have damaged or scarred corneas that prevent normal vision.
This could be s a result of corneal scarring from disease or possibly trauma.
