| Consultant Overview: | Nick Parkhouse has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1991. He is based at the McIndoe Surgical Centre at East Grinstead and is also a Consultant at King Edward VII Hospital, Sister Agnes, in London. He has held NHS Consultants posts at both the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and at Mount Vernon. He trained at Oriel College, Oxford, and the Middlesex Hospital and carried out research into wound healing for which he was awarded a Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990. He was Editor of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery from 1997 to 2002 and is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and the European Association of Plastic Surgeons. Nick is married with four children. His wife, Helen, is also a Surgeon. He enjoys flying aeroplanes and helicopters, fly fishing, tennis and golf. |
