Consultant Overview: Charles Nduka strives to achieve a natural result using minimally invasive techniques and shorter scars. He considers that the consultation is the most important part of any procedure so that together he and the patient can agree on the best treatment. Charles Nduka was born in London and grew up in London and Henley-on-Thames. He studied medicine at Oxford University and St. Mary’s Hospital, London graduating with a Distinction in surgery. He was also awarded Honours in surgery by the University of London. After a 2-year full-time research degree for a doctoral (MD) thesis, he undertook his surgical training in London teaching Hospitals including the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals, Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals, and the Royal Marsden Hospital. He was awarded the Gold Medal for his performance in the plastic surgery FRCS examination. He completed his specialist training in France, Brazil and London where he learned modern aesthetic surgery and advanced techniques for facial reanimation following facial paralysis. He is a fully accredited specialist in plastic surgery, and is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council and a member of both BAAPS and BAPRAS. He is also Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College, London where he researches techniques to improve outcomes in plastic surgery of the face and breast. His other interests are photography, sculpture and architecture. When time allows, he also plays tenor saxophone.
