Consultant Overview: Lindsay qualified with honours in Dentistry, Paediatrics and Orthodontics from Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1981. After qualifying she spent several years obtaining a broad postgraduate education in many areas of surgery including maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine, restorative dentistry, children’s dentistry and orthodontics. Lindsay has held posts of Regional Advisor in Orthodontics for the Royal College of Surgeons, Chair of the Specialty Training Committee in Orthodontics for South Thames and examines for all three Royal College of Surgeons in Orthodontics. She is actively involved in teaching and lecturing in this country and internationally. Her hospital role includes treating complex cases including cleft lip and palate patients and facial disfigurement in children and adults. Her special interests include: Adult Orthondontics. Lindsay has specialised in adult orthodontics for over 10 years and provides aesthetic appliances. She is an accredited Invisalign (invisible braces) practitioner. She works closely with the implant team to maximise the benefit of cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. Children’s orthodontics. The management of all children with a variety of different braces including the less visible braces which appeals to many teenagers who are self conscious of their appearance. Snoring and Sleep Apnoea She works closely with Dr Peter Venn in the management of patients with obstructive sleep apnoea and snoring, using mandibular advancement splints. Lindsay balances a busy career and a hectic family life with two young children.
