McIndoe Surgical Centre Patient Care

Patient Care

McIndoe Surgical Centre

We pride ourselves in the care we provide for our patients. Our dedicated caring and highly trained and experienced staff will look after your every need both before and after your operation.

Individual advice about returning to normal activities, a 24 hour contact telephone number, and a follow-up outpatient appointment will be given to you before you go home.

Private Bedrooms & Room Service

McIndoe Surgical Centre has 23 well-appointed and comfortable private bedrooms with en-suite facilities including showers. All rooms have large windows overlooking our gardens, satellite TV, a personal telephone, and chairs for visitors. Some of the larger rooms also have a comfortable sofa for you and your visitors. Each room has essential facilities for safe nursing practice such as the nurse call system and antiseptic hand wash gel.

All patients receive full room service. Patients enjoy excellent cuisine, making their choice from a varied a la carte menu. Meals may be accompanied by wine, depending on the individual's medical condition.

Taking Care of Children Patients

The hospital offers treatment for children over the age of 3 years in ENT, plastic and reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial and dental surgery and ophthalmology. Our team includes registered children’s nurses and paediatric anaesthetists. We appreciate that a stay in hospital can be stressful for a child and therefore a parent is always invited to stay with their child overnight.

In line with recent guidelines McIndoe Surgical Centre recognises that adolescents have different needs to children and therefore separate policies and procedures are in place for 12 - 16 year olds.
