Extreme Makeover Series 3

19th October 2006

McIndoe Surgical Centre will be featured on Extreme Makeover Series 3, on Sky’s UK Living channel 112, on Wednesday 22 November and 13th December 2006 at 10pm. We are delighted that Mr Peter Arnstein, Cosmetic and Plastic Reconstructive Surgeon will be featured on these programmes.

The series tells the story of participants who have won the chance to transform their lives and looks, with the help of a team of plastic surgeons, cosmetic dentists, hair and make up artists and stylists. In each of the episodes, two participants are followed throughout their extreme transformations, and tell the story of their dramatic makeovers. Mr Arnstein’s surgical expertise makes him the perfect candidate to perform such complex multi procedural operations.

The BMI McIndoe Surgical Centre is world renowned as a centre of excellence and often treats patients from overseas who require complex or difficult procedures. Built on a strong history of reconstructive surgery, the building once housed the Queen Victoria Hospital’s burns unit, originally established by Sir Archibald McIndoe and now remains on the Hospital site in East Grinstead. Sir McIndoe is recognised for his pioneering treatment of airmen burned and injured during the Second World War. The standards of excellence he set in plastic and reconstructive surgery have continued to be developed in the aspects of surgery undertaken at BMI McIndoe Surgical Centre.

With over 16 leading Consultant plastic surgeons operating at the Centre it is the largest of its kind in the UK. The Centre specialises in all areas of cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation and reduction; face, brow and eye lifts; liposuction; nose surgery; pinning back of the ears; and tummy tucks.
