A new shade of lipstick or visit to the hairdresser does the trick for most women.

But Charmaine Rose and Susan Lambert wanted more than a simple update.

The two women have spent £86,000 between them having extensive plastic surgery to emerge larger-than-life models of their former selves.

They didn’t have to worry about the bill. They were among 20 participants chosen for the reality TV show Extreme Makeovers UK.
