The BMI McIndoe Surgical Centre is treating a young Kenyan woman who received horrific acid burns after acid was thrown into her car whist she was driving home from work in Nairobi. When Consultant surgeons, Raman Malhotra and Baljit Dheansa heard of Sundeep Hunjan’s plight they offered to carry out treatment free of charge for her. They approached the BMI McIndoe Surgical Centre who agreed to substantially reduce their fees in order that the treatment may take place. The first of many operations required took place on the 13th June and the surgery replaced her lower eyelids and treated some of the heavy scarring on her neck. The BMI McIndoe Surgical Centre is pleased to be able to help this unfortunate young woman and her surgery highlights the complicated plastic surgery that is performed as well as it’s reputation for Cosmetic surgery.
The McIndoe Burns Support Group which is based at The Queen Victoria Hospital is collecting money to help Sundeep with the continued treatment she requires. The Group is a registered Charity (291047) and donations can be made through their helpline on 08700818000 or by sending donations to "The McIndoe Burns Support Group", Queen Victoria Hospital, Holtye Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 3DZ.
